It rolls around but once a year but Mother’s Day always seems to creep up and catch us unprepared.
Mother’s Day is a potential minefield of bad presents. Add the rush factor of looking for something the day before or not having the slightest idea of what you’re mum would really like and you’ve got a year ahead to atone for your poor choices.
For the mum who has everything, doesn’t have a hobby, hates dressing gowns and could do with one less trinket in their lives - say thank you with a long lasting celebration of her lifetime of dedication to you.

Some interesting times in the Treehenge paddocks that’s for sure.
Last month Kathy and I were away for just over a week and the change when we got back was amazing. To look at the place, it’s unbelievable now. You can really see the trees growing up.
It’s looking as green as it’s ever been out here, with plenty of grass and plenty of mud too!

With 3-4 inches in the past week following on from previous falls there’s a lot of water staying around. It’s making it a bit difficult to get around at the moment to get maintenance work done.
The grass is looking healthy and high so that’s good. But on the other hand, it can make it difficult for the ground to dry out beneath it.
And then there’s the difficulty in navigating the tractor… it’s made for some interesting times in the black boggy soil I can tell...

Treehenge is a lovely shade of green after all the rain it has received. The property and trees sustained minimal damage which was a blessing compared to other areas of the state. The trees are looking fantastic and in addition to that the organic garden is creating some monster vegetables in the shape of zucchinis and cucumbers. Early this month we saw a huge zucchini from Nundyah Community Garden but we may have topped it here at the henge. Approximately two foot in length it is a monster zucchini with several others one foot long as well. Photos of whole garden can be seen on Facebook. We certainly hope other areas of QLD can recover as quickly as the Darling Downs and get back to normal ASAP. In particular our thoughts are with the people of Bundaberg and surrounding areas.

Biodiversity has been described as the ‘web of life’, ‘the variety of living things’ or ‘the different plants, animals and micro-organisms, their genes and ecosystems of which they are a part’.
Biodiversity encompasses every living thing that exists on our planet and the environment in which they live. From the smallest one-cell microbe to the enormous majesty of the blue whale. From the depths of the Pacific Ocean to peaks of our tallest mountains, biodiversity forms part of an intricate and interdependent web of life in which we are all a part.
Australia is home to between 600,000 and 700,000 species, many of which are found nowhere else in the world. About 84 per cent of our plants, 83 per cent of our mammals, and 45 per cent of our birds are endemic — that is, they are only found in Australia.
The marine environment is home to thousands of marine species, some of which are unique to Australia and all of which contribute to making Australia the most biodiversity-rich developed country in...
